And I'd like to finish one before I create another 5 that will sit there unfinished. I've listed them below. Most aren't officially titled, just given some sort of "descriptive" title for the file. If you have opinions on what I should do, commentary, or suggestions I'd love to hear them!
1)
Title: very secret. much stealth.
'Verse: ACD
Summary: drunk!holmes and watson use the excuse of being drunk to get a little frisky. totally inspired by this picture and comments on it.5
2)
Title: 5 ways to wake a Watson
'Verse: ACD
Summary: Holmes is sort of infamous for his ways of waking Watson up, here are 5 of them
3)
Title: Find the Distance
'Verse: modern AU with mostly BBC characterizations
Summary: Started with this silly idea of Sherlock as horse and Watson as his rider and they go pro. Which prompted much giggling over the fact that I was going to romantically pair Watson and Lestrade and have a not!beastiality3some! I even wrote a little short story about it and posted it for 24 hours on AO3, then it felt too silly so I contemplated re-writing it as Sherlock and Watson are both humans, Watson a washed up rider who is recovering from an injury and Sherlock and untested trainer with a lot of "crazy" ideas.
4)
Title: Cleveland St. Scandal
'Verse: ACD
Summary: A real scandal involving the Prince of Wales and a male brothel, telegraph boys, pimps in the General Post Office, and perhaps the identity of Jack the Ripper (although that's really farfetched). It was contemporary with "real" Holmes so I have this whole thing plotted out: Holmes is called in by Mycroft, it's not the Prince of Wales, but his younger brother (George) who is the client, cover-ups ensue, Milverton gets the list, Watson protects Holmes by making the public obsessed with his detective work while Holmes disappears in Europe for 3 years because he's actually a client, etc.
5)
Title: Watson Story
'Verse: ACD
Summary: A re-thinking of Watson, AU in the sense that Watson meets Holmes as a university student before he leaves for Afghanistan. Writes to Holmes while he is gone, comes back very PTSD and broken, Holmes puts him back together, he ends up traveling in America for a year, comes back and they go into Detecting together. He writes about Holmes the super!detective, but it's really about them, he's just as much a solver as he is, etc. Think of more of a Elementary!Holmes&Watson relationship, but with more gay romance.
6)
Title: Molly/Lestrade
'Verse: BBC
Summary: What it says on the tin. They're my current OTP (along with Watson/Mary) from the BBC right now. He digs her, he thinks he's too old for her, he's just what she needs...
7)
Title: Domesticity
'Verse: ACD
Summary: Holmes and Watson being cute and romantic and domestic together while updating his indexes!
8)
Title: Brain Injury
'Verse: ACD
Summary: Re-imagines that Holmes doesn't die at Reichenbach, but rather has a catastrophic brain injury and spends the next 3 years recovering while Mycroft and Watson orchestrade his death and eventual recovery. Watson is married, but his marriage breaks down over his obsession with Holmes's care, lots of angst regarding his relationship with Holmes as Holmes struggles to regain his identity and health, etc.
9)
Title: John/Mary + Sherlock
'Verse: BBC
Summary: what it says on the tin, BBC!canon-compliant post 3rd season p0rn
10)
Title: unfilled porn prompt
'Verse: BBC
Summary: Gerty gave me a porn prompt I promised to fill, I haven't yet. John and Sherlock are "caught" a few times by Lestrade accidentally on purpose - he gets invited the next time.
11)
Title: Milverton
'Verse: ACD
Summary: Moriarty is a shitty villain in the larger ACD canon. He's mentioned like 3 times, has a shadowy network and was basically created to allow Doyle to kill Holmes because he was sick and tired of him. What if Moriarty didn't exist, but was instead actually just Milverton and Holmes & Watson got caught up in their scheming and worked for 3 years to utterly dismantal this massive network of villainy, blackmail, and political control (think the conspiracy theories about the masons) while Holmes is "dead"
12)
Title: Come at Once
'Verse: ACD
Summary: epistolary tale of telegrams. maybe holmes is in Chicago and this is post-retirement?
13)
Title: Sherlock writes a Paper
'Verse: BBC
Summary: an off-shoot of my story The Experiment which was originally supposed to look like an academic paper with experiment results and everything. maybe actually do it this time? It'd be in that 'verse
14)
Title: Lists
'Verse: ACD
Summary: Watson keeps lists about Holmes. Originally this 99% written story was supposed to be about Watson's bisxuality and Holmes dealing with that and his own internalized homophobia over his sexuality. But I've never been happy with it - I just haven't gone back and done anything about it.
